Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for full-time patrol and access control in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide customer service to hotel guests and staff while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points and assist visitors while noting policy violations.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 10:30 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to hotel and resort guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, service corridors, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; provide directions and assistance while maintaining awareness of unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Communicate professionally with hotel staff, guests, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and shift activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
