Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Newport, NH. You will patrol a manufacturing and industrial site, perform access control, and provide customer service to personnel and visitors.

The role emphasizes safety, integrity, and a flexible schedule through our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor areas, deter incidents, and support site operations while communicating clearly with leadership and counterparts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors following site policies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

• Document patrols and incidents and communicate information to leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
