Job summary

Allied Universal, in Juno Beach, FL, is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Access Authorization to protect clients across utilities and other industries. You will conduct routine patrols, control access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents while interacting professionally with staff and visitors.

This role offers daytime weekend and weekday shifts, a pay rate of $19.00 per hour, and opportunities to learn our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening per applicable laws.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
