Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Williamsburg, VA to serve guests and staff across hotel/resort environments, maintain a visible presence, and deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor access points, conduct patrols, and respond to concerns to uphold a welcoming environment.

As a full-time role, you will follow site procedures and report incidents, with a focus on safety, attentiveness, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories where allowed by law.
• Drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Patrol in Williamsburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a hospitality and visitor destination, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to guests and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel/resort grounds, guest areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance as needed, and maintain awareness of activity throughout the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
