Job summary

Allied Universal in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol to monitor and safeguard clients across healthcare locations. You will perform unarmed patrols, assist patients and staff, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

This role offers flexible day schedules and the chance to work with a dedicated team. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred; a valid license may be preferred depending on location.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and adherence to procedures.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately, communicating with site leadership as needed.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control, and adherence to site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
