Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol CPR Readiness) for the San Francisco, CA area. You will patrol and monitor assigned areas, provide excellent customer service, and support access control while maintaining a visible security presence at a technology location.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, escalating as needed per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, perimeters, parking areas, and other locations.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain records.
• Report observations and maintenance-related concerns through established channels and complete required documentation.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate records in accordance with site policies.
• Report observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns through established communication channels and complete required documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied University will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
