Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Patrol Hazard Assessment in San Francisco, CA. You will monitor facilities, perform unarmed patrols, screen access, and respond to alarms, delivering courteous service to employees and visitors.

The role is part-time with a schedule including DayTime and Night shifts, offering $24.40 per hour and opportunities to grow through training and our Shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility and grounds to identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site procedures and report concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify contacts or responders as required.
• Complete detailed activity logs and shift communications to deter unauthorized activity.

You will use strong communication and customer service skills while reporting observations and responding to alarms. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures, and report access-control concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
