Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Moreland, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use clear communication and technology to document security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
