Job summary

Allied Universal in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will perform unarmed patrols, provide professional customer service, and maintain a visible security presence.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe the movement of employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
