Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Patrol Customer Service in North East, MD. You will safeguard clients across industries and create a welcoming, secure environment while building a flexible schedule with our Claim a Shift platform.

You’ll provide outstanding customer service, monitor designated areas, deter incidents, support access control, and report concerns consistent with Allied Universal’s culture of teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and along the perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and delivery procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
