Allied Universal in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a part-time Security Officer Warehouse Overnight Access Control to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sectors in a fast-paced distribution center. You will provide customer service, monitor entry points, and perform routine patrols to deter incidents.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and a background check in line with applicable laws.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site procedures and, when appropriate, emergency responses.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report observations to site contacts or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution center, including perimeter, parking, docks, and entrances.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and document observations.
• Complete detailed activity reports and communicate maintenance concerns, hazards, and unusual activity to site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution center, including the building perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, trailer areas, and employee entrances.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document access-related observations.
• Complete detailed activity reports and communicate maintenance concerns, hazards, and unusual activity to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
