Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.

• Background checks and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.

As a Security Officer Patrol Technology Support in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, help to deter incidents, assist with access control, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized personnel and visitors according to site procedures, and report unusual activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
