Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol role in Austin, TX. You will safeguard clients across multiple industries, performing routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, helping deter incidents, and supporting access control while using technology to document activities.

The position emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and teamwork within a caring culture. Day-to-day shifts include Tue–Sat 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with pay at $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted by employer as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report outcomes as per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization, maintain security logs and reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership about incidents and observations.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Records in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, unusual conditions, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Possess customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
