Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in New Berlin, WI. You will patrol and monitor a retail/mall setting, deter incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. The role offers flexible day/evening shifts and opportunities to grow within a leading security company.

Pay rate is $19.50 per hour. Minimum requirements include a HS diploma, ability to pass a background check, and a valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Background check as a condition of employment.

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or client representatives by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeters to identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or client representatives by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
