Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Visitor Services in Florence, KY. You will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support a professional environment with exceptional service in a logistics and distribution setting.

You will follow site procedures, maintain logs, and promptly respond to alarms or incidents while upholding a friendly, vigilant presence. Training and growth opportunities are available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and contractors at the front desk following site procedures.
• Monitor facility access by verifying credentials, logging visitors, issuing badges, and communicating entry requirements.
• Receive and route calls and deliveries while maintaining accurate records and supporting front-desk operations.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and escalate to the appropriate contacts or responders when needed.
• Observe entrances and deter unauthorized access with a professional presence.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and/or contractors at the front desk of a logistics and distribution location while following site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver logs, issuing badges as directed, and communicating entry requirements.
• Receive and route calls, deliveries, and inquiries in a professional manner while maintaining accurate records and supporting front-desk operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Observe activity at the entrance and adjacent areas, report suspicious or unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access through a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
