Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Visitor Reception in Solon, OH. You will staff the front desk, greet visitors, verify credentials, and maintain records while enforcing site access controls at a food and beverage location.

You’ll monitor cameras/alarms, respond to incidents, and deter unauthorized access with a professional front-desk presence. This role offers flexible day-time shifts and opportunities to grow within a leading security provider.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and appropriate emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the reception area; report unusual activity and follow site-specific escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional front-desk presence and communicating facility entry requirements to visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel.
