Allied Universal in Bowie, MD is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Vehicle Patrol) to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. This role emphasizes customer service, visible presence, and safe operations while driving on site.

A valid driver's license is required; you will follow site procedures and report incidents promptly, helping deter unauthorized access. Schedule is Tue, Fri, Sat 3:00 PM–11:00 PM with a flexible shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of retail/mall common areas, parking areas, storefronts, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Observe and report security issues, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports maintaining professionalism.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, parking areas, storefronts, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
