Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Vehicle Inspection Driver) in Sterling, VA. As part of a high-technology data center team, you will guard assets, assist visitors, and drive to post locations while maintaining a strong customer-service mindset.

You must have a valid driver’s license and a HS diploma, pass background checks and drug screening where required, and work a Fri-Sun 2 PM–10 PM schedule. Allied Universal offers flexible shifts and growth opportunities.

Pay Rate: $26.06 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, and critical infrastructure areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-related events, and shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
