Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for an aerospace/defense site in Washington, DC. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide courteous customer service while upholding site policies and safety procedures.

The role offers a flexible schedule (Sat and Sun nights) with a pay of $28.48 per hour; applicants must meet minimum requirements including high school diploma, ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, background check, and drug screening.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and promptly, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
