Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard (Part Time Unarmed) in Sterling, VA. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide customer service at an aerospace/defense site, maintaining security procedures and shift communications.

This role offers a part-time schedule with a $22.52/hour pay rate, requiring at least 1 year of security experience and an active DoD Secret Clearance. Background checks and drug screening apply where permitted by law.

• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, observing entry and exit activity, and following site procedures for visitors, deliveries, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
