Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Prevention Patrol in Columbus, OH. You will provide professional customer service, monitor facilities, and deter incidents on a chemical/petrochemical site, with a schedule designed for part-time availability.

You will carry out security-related procedures, patrol assigned areas, verify credentials, respond to alarms, and document observations while upholding Allied Universal’s commitment to integrity, teamwork, and community safety.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen will be required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns or unusual conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and communications accurately in accordance with site-specific reporting requirements.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
