Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Buffalo, NY. You will patrol facilities, monitor access, and provide customer service to employees and visitors, while maintaining a visible security presence at a chemical/petrochemical location.

The role supports a flexible schedule with evening shifts and opportunities to grow within Allied Universal’s security team. Applicants undergo background checks and drug screening per policy.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Support compliance with site entry requirements, including visitor and contractor procedures, while communicating professionally with site personnel and emergency responders.

• Tue: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Thur: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
