Job summary

Allied Universal in Portland, OR is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Unarmed Patrol at a truck manufacturing facility. You will monitor access points, patrol buildings and parking areas, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors.

This position offers flexible day and night shifts, a supportive team, and advancement opportunities within a national security leader. CPR certification and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with all laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers while carrying out site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and document visitor/ contractor/ vehicle activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other events; notify appropriate personnel and file reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers at an automotive manufacturing or corporate location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, shipping and receiving areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, policy violations, and other security-related issues to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
