Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Foot Patrols in Portland, OR. This role offers flexible, dependable hours with fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to boost earnings.

You will provide customer service to drivers, employees, and visitors, perform site-specific security procedures, respond to incidents, and conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity. The position supports up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a freight transportation and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Foot Patrols in Portland, OR, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
