Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for Honolulu, Hawaii. You will patrol campus areas, greet students, staff and visitors, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism, maintaining a visible, reassuring presence across assigned sites.

We offer flexible evening and overnight shifts, a pay rate of $22.00 per hour, and opportunities for training and advancement while upholding our commitment to safety and customer

Qualifications

• State/local security license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate with campus stakeholders and emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
