Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Sterling, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide customer service, support access control, and document observations using tablet tools. Position type: Part Time. Pay rate: $16.00 per hour. Schedule includes daytime hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Comfortable using computers/tablets for reporting and patrol documentation.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as required by law and policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law as needed.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only (if applicable).

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the food and beverage production location, offices, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities accurately and report concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
