Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Technology in Palo Alto, CA. The role involves patrolling manufacturing and industrial sites, maintaining a visible presence, and documenting security activities.

You will interact with personnel and visitors and use technology to report observations and incidents. The position offers part-time hours with a daytime and overnight schedule, a pay rate of $22.20 per hour, and opportunities for growth through our Shift-claim

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Complete activity reports and communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
