Allied Universal® in De Soto, KS is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Specialist to protect clients across tech/media/telecom sites. This role offers flexible scheduling and the ability to claim shifts via our platform to fit your availability.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service while following site procedures and reporting any security concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access activity and report unusual conditions, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
