Job summary

Allied Universal, a leader in security and facility services, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer in De Soto, KS. You will provide a visible security presence, support a welcoming environment, and participate in a shift-based patrol schedule within a technology, media, and telecommunications setting.

You will conduct patrols, monitor access, report incidents, and deliver excellent customer service to employees and visitors, with a focus on safety and compliance across site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access activity and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts and/or irregular activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
