Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol Route Audit) in Chicago, IL. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide excellent guest and staff service while upholding the company values of agility, reliability, and integrity.

As a part-time role with a $22.00 per hour pay rate, you can build a flexible schedule and progress through our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, associates, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership, Allied Universal management, and local authorities as needed.
