Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an unarmed patrol role in Ashland, VA. The position emphasizes customer service, visible presence, and safety in a technology-focused site.

You will perform routine rounds, verify access, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional communication with staff and visitors. The job offers part-time scheduling with evening shifts and opportunities for shift flexibility.

Formación

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor, vendor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
