Job summary

Allied Universal Tampa is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer to patrol a commercial real estate location in Tampa, FL. You’ll provide frontline security, welcome tenants and visitors, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Flexible daytime and night shifts are available with a pay rate of $23.00 per hour. Responsibilities include regular patrols, access control, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required and subject to drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors and exterior areas to identify/unreport unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to post orders.
• Document patrols and incidents in daily activity and incident reports.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately in daily activity reports and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
