Allied Universal® in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Operations to monitor and protect clients across financial institutions and other sites. You will provide a visible security presence, assist visitors and employees, and follow site procedures to deter incidents and assure safety.

Day-to-day duties include conducting regular patrols, controlling access, responding to alarms and incidents, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• State/city security license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrance areas, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site requirements; report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
