Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for Part Time Patrol Monitoring in Newark, NJ. You will provide customer service, conduct unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

You will be paid $18.00 per hour, with a flexible evening schedule (Mon-Wed 4:00 PM–12:00 AM) and access to our Shift-Claim platform to explore new roles. A high school diploma and a valid security license are preferred.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, facility concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
