Job summary

Allied Universal® in Du Quoin, IL is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to monitor and protect client sites across manufacturing and industrial environments. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, perform regular unarmed patrols, secure access points, and respond calmly to incidents while following site procedures.

The role offers a flexible Saturday-Sunday schedule with a pay rate of $16.24 per hour and opportunities to learn through our Shift-claim platform

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, office spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to deter security incidents.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, office spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response protocols.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
