Allied Universal in Jonestown, PA is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard Patrol to join our team at retail and mall locations. You will provide a visible security presence, assist shoppers and tenants, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

This role offers flexible day and evening shifts with a pay rate of $15.91 per hour. Applicants must meet minimum requirements, pass background and drug screening, and maintain a neat, approachable frontage while protecting people and property.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or unauthorized access, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, customer inquiries, and incident reporting while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
