Allied Universal is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer for a hospital site in Akron, OH. You will provide customer service, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents to keep employees and visitors safe.

This role offers flexible scheduling (Sat and Sun overnight), a supportive team, and opportunities to grow within a leading security and facility services company.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and vehicle records, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Complete detailed activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
