Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Armed Security Officer in Akron, OH. You will monitor and protect clients across healthcare locations, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and according to site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment in line with policies and licensing requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 06:30 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Maintain proper handling and readiness of assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
