Job summary

Allied Universal in Akron, OH is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Hospital to safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You can build a flexible schedule through our Claim a Shift platform while contributing to a welcoming, secure environment.

In this role, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and deliver excellent customer service and clear communications to employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and vehicle records, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Complete detailed activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
