Allied Universal in Lorain, OH is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) specializing in hospital access control. You will deliver patient and visitor support while patrolling and monitoring entrances, ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, coordinating with site personnel and responders.
• Conduct unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete incident reports and logs, maintaining professionalism in a healthcare environment.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Fri 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Hospital vaccines are required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
