Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Charlotte, NC. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location.

Position type: Part Time. Pay rate: $18.30 per hour. Schedule includes DayTime Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM and Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM. Allied Universal emphasizes agility, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Pepper spray certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by location.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe property conditions, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
