Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed) in Norfolk, VA. You will patrol designated areas, assist visitors, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigations per law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
