Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Ashburn, VA to patrol financial institutions and protect employees and visitors. You will monitor access, respond to incidents, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

This role offers flexible scheduling with the Claim a Shift platform and opportunities to grow within a leading security company. Applicants should have at least 2 years of security experience, be at least 18, and be able to obtain required licensing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor credentials in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
