Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Support in Falls Church, VA. You will patrol by foot and vehicle, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors at a retail/mall location.

This role offers flexible scheduling through our Claim a Shift platform and requires a valid driver’s license, basic computer/tablet use, and strong service orientation.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the retail property and parking areas.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents and patrol activity and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

As a Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, property concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel, while helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
