Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver) in Minnetonka, MN. You will perform routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to alarms while delivering excellent customer service to staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Applicants must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at healthcare and laboratory locations, following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor credentials per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and according to protocol.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate observations and security concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare and laboratory location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor credentials in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
