Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Lorton, VA to provide reliable security services with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts. The job offers a pay rate of $18.30 per hour and entails a 3:45 PM to 11:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, patient care disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security activities in accordance with reporting requirements.

Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver CPR in Lorton, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun03:45 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, patient care disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy concerns according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security‑related activities accurately and completely in accordance with site and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
