All Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Fairfax, VA to provide reliable, customer-focused security services at a healthcare site. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of security experience, armed guard card/license, and a commitment to safety and service. The position pays $21.74 per hour and requires age 21+ for armed roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required.
• Licensing requirements are state/local dependent.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including building interiors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and document incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Deployment in Fairfax, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed07:30 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
