Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for Downtown Portland, OR. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.

This role offers flexible weekend-only scheduling with a pay rate of $23.25 per hour. A high school diploma and security experience are required, with background checks and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Background investigations conducted per state/federal/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a critical infrastructure location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control activities, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
