Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
