This role supports patients, visitors, staff, and vendors, conducts unarmed patrols, maintains access control, and documents incidents, with a six-month anchor shift and potential to scale to up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal history reviewed in compliance with laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to identify hazards and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist visitor management per site policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations and maintenance concerns to the relevant personnel.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site policies, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• At least six months of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
